Front Living Room Reveal!

Come on in and have a seat. I have some tweaking to do but I'm ready to share!

New Craig's List couches and rug $250.00.

Plus lots of random garage sale pieces and some fun new accessories. Note: the only furniture item left coming from my old home was the coffee table trunk. I wanted so badly to replace that but I will have to wait until I can find what I am looking for. It's okay for pictures but its covered in markers. Um, maybe I can paint it?!

Candelabra and shutter were given to me by a friend and I made the "W" out of old wood I found in the shed. On a budget you have to be creative.

Custom made ruffled pillows made from left over drop cloth. To die for!!

I am looking for a picture frame to go above this couch!

I think that the clock for $10.00 was a score!

Catch all baskets for miscellaneous stuff like Lego's and barbie dolls.

Cute, cute little plates, free!

Where is the t.v. and all the other yukky stuff I don't like to look at? HIDDEN!

Yes, that is an antenna in the window. We still don't have cable! That's why I need to hurry up and get these rooms finished!

New coat rack, super easy to make!

Hand me down stairs that I oh so wish I had a before picture of. I painted the cute little stairs to match the railing and added some cute blocks!

If you have missed the beginning transformations on this room please visit these older links to see just how far I have come and please stay tuned because I know I will be adding more to this room and I have have a kitchen re-model that I am days from starting on!!!

And visit here to read about the drop cloth tutorial. I forgot to let the curtains down for an after picture of the completed room but they really are stunning when there not pulled back.

And last but not least is my last post. Visit that one to see the furniture transformations and revamps that happened in order to pull this room together.

See you soon,

  13. You have just proven that you can have a lovely home on a budget. Two things especially; that white/distressed/chippy rocker in the corner - is that a garage sale find? I absolutely love it! and secondly - paint that trunk, it would look so pretty! Maybe throw some bun feet or retro legs on it...you'll think of something awesome :)
