Final Room Progress!

I am so excited to share the progress on this room. It's the last room to get it's makeover in our new home. We moved on New Years Day 2011 and I can't believe how much we have done in one year and how much this home has consumed our lives. Cleaning, sanding, priming, painting, decorating, sooo many trips to Lowe's and Home Depot, scoring and rehabbing furniture and accessory pieces, making curtains, tearing up floors and cabinets and so much more. What a crazy year it has been. I am anxious to finally be settled and to be in a home that feels like me and that I am completely comfortable in.

I'm looking forward to next year and all that it holds for myself and my family. Thanks for letting me share this part of my life and myself with all of you.

Stay tuned for the completion of this room before Christmas!!!

Green mantel and cabinets gone.

Tongue and grove primed and waiting for paint. I did decide to keep the ceiling natural.

Bye, bye nasty windows. These are clean, painted and waiting for some cute curtains.

So is that massive sliding glass door.

Check out this bookshelf. I am so glad that the paint wasn't chipping and gross like it was in my office. http://johnniesjunk.blogspot.com/2011/05/home-office-renovation-part-one.html No sanding!! Yes!! Primer and a few coats of paint and I will be done. Almost forgot furniture, a t.v and of course a Christmas tree!

I did put up a few smaller trees and outside lights. However, the big tree will have to wait until this room is done. I'll be sharing those trees with you soon!

In case you missed where this room began visit this post!

See you soon!

  1. Looking good! Great choice on leaving the ceiling natural. It will be a nice contrast with the painted walls. Have a great day!

  4. It's amazing what a huge difference a little paint makes - not even done but it looks a thousand times better already! I love the painted paneling, and I totally agree that the ceiling looks great as it is!
